It's Halloween!!!

Monsters, bats, and Dracula. Oh my! And what about Halloween Brides??!

Elegantly beautiful Halloween bride

Go GOTH!

Be Bold, Be Beautiful

Know your silhouette, to know your dress

So, you started browsing for wedding dresses in bridal magazines, online catalogs, wedding photographers' portfolios, bridal studios etc. You watched reruns of Say Yes to the Dress, and wonder if you will ever have that "moment" when you finally find the right dress. You are overwhelmed by the types of styles and shapes, not to mention the material of the dress and what would flatter your figure.

First things first, determine your silhouette, and then find the shape and style that would flatter you most.

The picture below is my very own custom-made wedding dress by Louisa from Pretty in White. Find my honest review here. It's an A-Line dress with delicate lace overlay.

Our journey begins

We first held hands way back in year 2000. I was then in Form Six, and he was in college. We lived in different states, but he visited me every fortnight, or as often as he could. On February 14th, 2012 he got down on one knee and proposed. Why the long wait, you ask? Because we were not financially & emotionally ready.

Honestly, even after he put the ring on my finger, I still had some doubts from time to time. Why marry him then, you ask? Well, we attended the Catholic Marriage Preparation Course, only then I knew we were meant for each other (he knew from the moment he first saw me - love at first sight, he said)...

Fast forward, we set a date in year 2013, called and visited bridal studios and restaurants. Met up with photographers, make-up & hair consultants, and entertainers and ta-dah, The Big Day finally arrived!

With this blog, I'll share my findings with you, and hope it'll help you with your wedding plans.
